       "What can I say to make you change your mind?"

       The door slammed in my face. And she was gone. I'd done something really stupid this time. I heard a loud crash behind me. She'd packed all my things into travel bags and threw them out the second story window.
       "Leave my key at the door. I don't ever want to see you again, Lisa."
       I drove home in a stupor. I couldn't believe she wasn't going to let me make it up to her. I had never seen her so angry. I could feel my face pulling into a frown as I pulled into a hotel parking lot.
       "I need a room for…a week."

i want you to remember me.I want you to remember the way my hair frizzed when I got up from bed and how you always took that chance to pat it down and run your fingers through it. You couldn't always work through the knots and tangles and your fidgeting fingers just fucked it up even more.  But I never could work through your twisting spider-web words and emotional bomb splatter- so I guess you could call us evenly unmatched.
I want you to remember how I laughed when you took me by surprise with those sweet unexpected hugs. You'll never know how they made me bubble on the inside like shaken coke wanting to explode from a bottle to touch the sky and twist the clouds into our beautiful memories. I actually thought we were in love, but you never popped the cap or the question and the fizz just ate away at itself and died.
I want you to remember how I sang our song and maybe you could forget how I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket [and how I couldn't carry the burden of keeping illicit secrets]. But you s:thumb176562754:
